Yes it does.

Anything with Pistol in it's profile counts as a CC weapon.

Just another thing. the emporers championin the 5th edition army builder says he has 2(3) attacks but thats his base attack 2 & the (3) is is his CC weapons +1 attack? dont charging count as a +1 attack as well????

You won't always be charging so no sense in showing that.

Yes assaulting you add +1 attack.
So if say a marine has a base of 1 attack, and is carrying a chainsword +bolt pistol, he would have +1 attack for 2 CC weapons, so now he has 2 attacks. If he assaults then he has 3 attacks on the charge.

nice thx for clearing that up, just gotta remember that +1 on charge since it wont show on paper

Yep. When it comes to Army Builder they show the bonus for having two cc weapons, because once bought and paid for the model will always have it. Hence the 2(3).

The model will not always be charging, so that bonus isn't shown. Of course neither is other things that don't always applies, such as Chapter Banners and rules given by Special Characters.
