Hello everyone,

Just wanted to know if anyone knew of a place where I could buy waterslide decals for my IG vehicles?

I want to find a shark face for my vendetta, and a pin up girl for my tank. Thanks

I think you could have a lot of fun creating your own, especially with the pin-up girls:

"It's not porn, love, it's research..."

Waterslide sheets for inkjet printers are pretty easy to come by nowadays, so if you have a halfway decent printer that might be worth a try.

Interesting, I may order a thing or two.

Hmmmm, okay I can look into it again, I am just confused on how I arrange multiple photos onto a single sheet for printing.

Photoshop and Word.

The main thing to understand with decal sheet paper is that it comes in two varieties, clear and white.

When you print on it, any colour involving white, such as grey, will print with a combination of colour ink and nothing, because all printers assume you are printing on to white paper. There is no white ink!

This is fine if you just want to print black numbers or something. If you want to print coloured designs, there are two ways you can do it.

One way is to print on to white decal sheet and trim carefully around the edge of the finished design. This is a bit harder to do on complex designs and may leave a bit of a white edge.

The other way is to print on to clear paper, and paint the area where the design will be mounted with white paint.

I'm not sure either way is easier.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Another tip I found out the hard way:
If your model is a dark color, you MUST print on white.
I made an entire sheet of gold decals on clear and when i put them on a black model you could not see anything. You need the white background to make the image stand out.

Okay sounds good, any tutorials on going about making the decals?

Yea, sounds like I will be using white then. My army has a color scheme of dark green and black with dirty metallic colors

Actually, a good trick is to print a guide decal (in black, on clear) and use that to paint the appropriate area, white (or whatever light colour you want), before applying your design decal over the top. I do that in this tutorial:

This is an excellent guide that I plan to be using
