Ok so got a question for ya about something that happend earlier tonight!
Im playing my 750pt Warphead Army and at the beginning of my shooting phase on turn 4, I rolled a 5 on the weirdboy psychic chart which is for 'Ere We Go. This allows me to teleport the wierdboy (and the unit he's with) to another part of the board via deep strike rules. I teleported the unit near one of the objectives of the game, but drifted just out of range of capturing it!
Now going by deep strike rules, once you have placed your models, they can either shoot or run in the shooting phase. I chose to run the unit to gain the objective!
Heres the issue that was brought up... Deep strike usually takes place during the movement phase, but seeing that the wierdboy makes you deep strike at the beginning of the shooting phase... are you still able to run. My opponent says no thinking that i had already shot that turn, but the "Ere We Go ability is not a shooting attack, its mearly a psychic ability being used (
40k Ork Errata Backs this up). He thinks that by teleporting during the shooting phase, that i cannot run afterwards even though the deep strike rules take effect, which says i can run in the shooting phase?!
Was I allowed to do this (I hope you all understand the question)?
Help me out here gamerz
