Pg.27 BT Codex
"For each cynobyte servitor accompanying a Chaplain, you may add +1 (to a maximum of +3 per unit) to the dice roll when rolling for the righteous zeal special rule."
Pg 26 BT Codex
States that a model may take 100 points of wargear.
To me this means that a BT Chaplain can take 10 cynobytes but only 3 will ever count towards the roll for Righteous Zeal. Am I misreading this? Grammatically, the phrase "for each Cynobyte" is indicating the amount of Cynobytes with no restriction other than purchasing wargear, and the phrase "to a maximum of +3 per unit" is referring to the bonus movement to the dice roll, not to the number of cynobytes allowable.
Other opinions? Grammatically it is quite clear to me, however, I can see how it would be confusing. Plus, Grimaldus has only 3 Servitors, which really proves nothing but further clouds the issue.
What say Dakka?

I think it's funny that BT questions are arising.
My brother and I have a tournament this weekend. It will be interesting to see how many BT and DA armies are there.

I disagree. See page 32, chaplain's entry.
"The chaplain may also be accompanied by up to 3 Cenobyte Servitors of the Company Chapel..."
To me this means that while your understanding is correct, there's a max of 3 possible anyway.

- Max N° of cynobites = 3 ( chaplain entry )
- Max boni = 3 ( cynobite / wargear )
Seems obvious.
Just remember those chaplain / cynobite combos may restrict your veterans abilities.

Unless you add them to Helbrecht's squad.
