For my chaos army I'd thought it would be cool to convert some boltguns and put some parts from a chainsword at the bottom of the gun, like in Gears Of War (:

for people who don't know what Gears of War is, you should all die here is a picture

so I was wondering, has anybody done this before? Are there pictures of this conversion? And ofcourse, is it actually manageble?

I remember seeing a tutorial on how to make one of those. it involved a lasgun, bolt gun, and chainsword tip.

Edit: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.php?autocom=ineo&showarticle=652 That's the tutorial.

That would look very nice on your CSM, would all your rank and file troops get them?

I'm not sure on that yet.

I think I will use some csm, give them these weapons, and let 'em count as Berzerkers. But as a standard weapon it would look awesome.

i hate when peopel say gears of wear when tlaking about this.... GW produced the first model with this in 1988.

you could always use the forgeworld guns

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

With 2nd editions figs, there were several with chain blade bayonets. I have a couple of eldar that had them, and I recall seeing marines with them as well. But Im pretty sure some of those were converted

3rd ed metal Chaos Terminators had combi-bolters with chain-bayonettes on them too.

RT (1st ed) 40k also had chain bayonets.

Even eldar had them (the standard bearers had them on their melta guns and shuriken catapults).

GoW is one of those lame cartooney shooters on xbox, isn't it?

Blasphemy! But yes, it is. Pretty good fun, though.

Vleermie, if you put these together I'd love to see pics of them done. I have a full size Golden Lancer at home, and it is indeed a very CSM-style weapon.

I have recently been diagnosed with swelling in the brain, so please excuse spelling mistakes and faulty sentences. I am losing my ability to type and talk effectively, but dammit, that is not going to stop me from trying.
