I must be mental....

Can anyone share some tips for getting a half decent result for Imperial Fists in Epic scale?? Should I go for yellow base coast/darker wash/white drybrush? Or Darker base coat/yellow "heavy" drybrush/white "light" drybrush?? Or Do you think a quick spray of yellow primer and have done with it?

prime white, airbrush yellow if you have one, if not hand brush. wash with an insanely thin and low pigment sepia.

For my imperial fist model I used Les' wash recipe with only about 5 drops of sepia ink and it worked perfectly.

My other thought was to just dip 'em..

Prime white and then go over with yellow. Or you could just prime them yellow and either dip or wash them. They are small but it should still work. Dipping might be a little rough on something so small though.

Sorry if this is Threadnomancy :( but I have started..I have just used Army painter Yellow Primer, picked out guns in boltgun, then washed with very thin Sepia ink..Looks OK.

Edit:

Although they're OK, I have found (very) drybrushing them with yellow has made a real difference. My eyes hurt now though..

Any chance of seeing some pics? I'm always interested in seeing effective yellow techniques- that colour annoys the hell out of me.

I have recently been diagnosed with swelling in the brain, so please excuse spelling mistakes and faulty sentences. I am losing my ability to type and talk effectively, but dammit, that is not going to stop me from trying.

I'll try, but I'd say unless you play Epic you'll probably not be that impressed!!!

I've painted a few epic models in the past, though I don't play. I have a great soft spot for models that are mind-numbingly tiny.
