Hey Dakka, I was just wondering what is your Wargaming 'no go' hours when it comes to finishing those late night games.

For me, as long as turns are left Im well prepared to game through the night to see a game through, resulting in some very strange excuses the next day in college when I fall asleep.

'Sorry I havn't handed in any work Ma'am, but I had to see the Khorne Berserkers I commited to the assault through!'

We tend to surrender if a game is dragged out and a clear winner is determined (such as in annhilation where only footsloggering guardsmen are left against a gunline SM army). Otherwise we'd see a game through to the end.

My friend and I once took turns sleeping in between the rounds of a game. Finally, we were both so sleep deprived that the game simply shut down, as neither of us had the higher reasoning left to remember, say, the order of the turn. (is the assault phase first, or what?)

Stay awake as long as possible, no matter what. Its very entertaining, and makes for some pretty interesting stories.

Hahah, I'll fall asleep at the table (or under it). I'm old and just can't stay up all night like I once could (plus I get up at 5:45am every morning for work, so my body clock runs early too).

When I was like 14 my buddies and I played an 8 hour game of my homebrew ruleset. It was big, it was epic, it was silly, and it was fun. It was also Summer, so we still had the time to stay up until 6 or 7 in the morning pushing toys around.

When I was about 15-16, my local historicals group used to play their napoleonics rules on a 24' x 8' table with about a dozen people pushing thousands of figs. One evening, we started at 8pm, and played until 4 bc neither side would give in. That's a record for me, anyway. 25 years later we still talk about it!
