As the begining of my new army, i am showing you its basic color scheme, behold, the salamanders! I think the blue on the cape of my captain might be a little against the fluff, but blue can just be such a brilliant color, i had to incorperate it into this army somehow.







Bow to the Mighty Dreadnought! yes, there is a Dark Angels bit on there, but the flowing motion gave the model a much greater sense of movement, So on it went!

Vibrant green.. well done paint work but it's a little intense on the eyes.. especially when you add in the blue cape.. where's the contrast at?

I think they look great, bright yes, but still great. I only have one question, where's your captain's backpack at?

I really like the colour of them, and i like the captians sword.

Nice one, pretty clean painting with cool hightlights. Salamanders' skin is Black due to the world they came from n live on tho if you prefer them like this its really nice anyway.

I didnt give the captain a backpack because i didnt think it really added to the model..

yes, i know i didnt follow salamander tradition. I dont really think the black skin (nothing racial intended ) looks good on Space Marines

Flimmy, forgot to mention, I love the colour's you've used on the etched plating on the dreadnought. How did you do that man? It's so rich but keeps the feel of the plate!

I would rather theyhave black skin only because it'll fit in with the fluff more, but the pale skin works with the green. it is very cool

@Monkeh: it is a series of steps involving the following colors

brassy brass: valejo
Shining gold: Gw
Dwarf bronze: GW
Golden Yellow: Gw
ogryn Flesh: GW (this wash has alot more uses than just skin)
