Right, this is you answer, but, as mentioned you can actually do better. All you need is some extra infantrymen and some extra round bases.
Start by taking the big base and flocking it (or at least painting it).
Then model three guys with satchels to be generic loaders. Ideally, these guys would be on standing up legs from the regular cadian sprue.
Then model three guys on their own bases who are holding onto mortars in their hands. The crouching legs work nicely for this. Also, build the mortars and glue them to their own small bases.
Then model three guys on their own bases who are holding onto missile launchers. Standing bases work well, unless you didn't use them for mortars.
Then model three guys on their own bases who use the two arms which are holding onto the butterfly trigger. Angle the arms so that they will sit right at the right height to link up with your heavy weapons. Using crouching legs is mandatory.
Then make yourself a gun chassis using the tripod (or just use the tripod). Paint up the heavy bolters, autocannons, and lascannons. They have a pin on the bottom that fits into the tripod mount, so as long as you don't glue anything down, you can swap out any of said three weapons.
Once you're done, pick the loader, the appropriate gunner, and the tripod with the proper weapon in the mount (unless you're using mortars or missile launchers for the gunner), and stack them all on the large base.
As such, with 6 regular cadian infantrymen and a 3x heavy weapons box set you can have three heavy weapons teams which can easily be swapped out to have ANY of the available options depending on what you're looking for at the time. No sense gluing one particular heavy weapon to the base only to have to buy more stuff later when you don't want that particular weapon.
