Hey Guys and Girls.

I am on the look out for a decent and reasonably priced Paint storage solution for my painting desk. At present they take up way to much space and I want something a bit more organised. I am noticing a lack of decent products that are available within the UK. I have seen one from Australia but the P&P is almost as much as the product. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? My collection is a mixture of GW & Vallejo paints.

Have you checked local art stores? You might see something you like and can either wait for a deal or look for it online.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Same I use cheap tackle box from walmart also one thing my friend does is use a one of those turntable spice racks on his painting bench he says it works really well if you have a dedicated hobby table. Alas I do not so I stick to tackle boxes with a drop of the color on top of the lid.

Are you looking to transport your paints at any point or is this a desk-only storage scenario? If stationary, there are round, multi-tiered, rotating paint racks that can store quite a few pots/bottles of your brand(s) of choice, as well as having holes in the otherwise unused center space for storing brushes, etc. These things always seem to find their way into the background desk shots of the big-name Youtube mini painters. I can't recall the name of it, at the moment, but there is one in particular that comes in two sizes, depending on just how much paint you have to store.

I use Sterilite plastic drawers from Wal Mart. The medium ones are barely tall enough for Vallejo bottles, but GW fit just fine. I also use these drawers for bits and tools. I can post a pic if you want.

I use Spice Racks, both GWS and Vallejo bottles fit, the GWS ones you can stack 2 high (well the old bottles not the new ones)

I second the spice rack suggestion. I use a three tiered rack from target which only cost $7.

Paintier racks are terrible overpriced and that thing holds about as much paint as my little drawer that cost me about $10. They are also top heavy which means a little bump can make a huge mess.

I have 2 paintier racks screwed into each other which makes a stack high enough to contain a mega paint set converted to vallejo bottles and a whole set of vallejo game colour paints as well as a few Tamiya clears. Yes it's a little unstable, but it's at the back of the desk and it keeps the paints well enough for me. They are available in the UK as I bought mine from the net from a UK supplier.

I got a Pantier 80 recently from FRP games (which interestingly, was sold as "new" merchandise yet still had bits of scotch tape and wrapping paper stuck to it) and was quite happy with it. Very expensive, yes. Seems to hold together quite well. I'd recommend, haters gonna hate.

For the OP here's where I got mine from: http://www.3vwargames.co.uk/paintier.htm.

As has been said, expensive but it works well enough for me.

I have 3 of the pantier racks for my paints, they definitely have never been tipped over, so I will say from personal experience that the top heavy claim is bunk. I got mine from the warstore. They have a pretty heavy metal plate on the bottom of them, plus the weight of the paint keeps them nice and stable.

Never even come close to tipping, despite the best efforts of a very determined cat. He's stood with his front paws on top of them and tried to go between them as well.

I fancied getting one of those but a certain 2 year olds prying fingers would put paid to any chance of it remaining in one place so I have four 4ltr Really Useful boxes [mostly because they are cheap and lockable). At the time I was turned of the carousel by the price as well, ironic given what we spend on minis.

Each contains a serperate project the fourth contains my most commonly used paints with the remainder stored in the case (another mega paint set here!).

Not really what the OP is looking for but good if like me you need to secure things a bit.

I actually thought that a cake stand (bear with me on this) might do the same job if you could get one for a low price. A bit prissy but it might suit your style?
