I wanna make an army of demons, since there is thousands of Chaos Gods, large and small, so this gives me free reign to create whatever the hell I want, so I am trying to get some idea's what people think would look neat

I've always thought the idea of demons made from junk and twisted metal would have neat modeling opportunities. Would work great for the chaos god of futility.

You do know there is an actual daemon army right? It's called Chaos Daemons. xD

Since their daemons, you could pretty much anything you want, as long as it has spikes, flames and gore.

You could do an army of 'angelic demons'. Like all white, gold and feathers. Those sanguinary guard deathmasks would be perfect for this. Maybe even the wings. 'Foppish demons' would be cool as well loads of wigs, frilly clothing and masquerade ball style faces, i think moth eaten ragged lace work would be cool as well infact make them all faded and dishevelled but no Grue!

Fascism?? Subvertive creature who are tied up (bit slaneesh lie though?)

Fallen angels (cause thats what christien deamons are) with broken wings and black (crude oil like) stains on their robes and faces oh maybe crying black tears aswell I can imagine something similar to the BA sanguinor as an army HQ. you could differentiate between the recoginsed chaos powers by having different effects on them for example the Khorn fallen angels could be Male, bleeding and carry big axes, Nurgle bloated and pussy, Tzenech fire effects are you friend here and slanesh you'd probably want something vaguely erotic about proportions and pose aswell as the claws to be honest.

Junk deamons also sounds nice,

i made a daemon army of ghosts

backstory is they are the workers of a world that got exterminated and a psychic presence (greater daemon) uses their formed souls to do his gak.

hmmm I am not to sure about obsession
insane...well it could have been chemical, the fact they could be some weird twisted abominations being crazy for the simple sake of it

I've had the idea to scratch build a demon army made of ghosts/spirits. Not simple scooby doo people under sheets crap but mostly some of the creepier older description of spirits/ghosts/demons. Also the notion that many evil spirits are humans who die with hate/regret any strong emotion and it twists them into these evil things. With that in mind its easy enough to fit them to the various gods.

Ok, how about making your basic troops from squigs, with wings of various kinds. Some wearing top hats and monocles, others with cigars. One of them should have some kind of instrument. For your greater demon or demon prince, have some human guy, who just looks really normal, or maybe a bit confused....

Obsession would be harder. You could do something like having them all absolutely identical, or all numbered and ranked up in exact number order. I dunno. I suppose it comes down to 'obsessed with what?'

Also, are you looking for humanoid demons, or anything at all that crosses your mind? What kind of colours were you thinking.

For Obsession you could have dudes who look like the flesh has been scratched off their faces and forearms. With grinning bloody skulls and sharp boney claws. Seems they were itchy....

Unnerving stuff.... maybe humans with missing eyes or mouths- that often creeps people out. The best unnerving images are the most subtle, such as not-too-obvious extra limbs and things like that. At the other end of the scale, there are the omg-over-the-top twisted abominations, but that would pretty much just be an army of Chaos Spawn.

Ideas, not idea's. The apostrophe makes it possessive.

You could really go nuts with green stuff and Chaos Spawn bits to make whatever abominations you could imagine.

check out my scratch daemon army it is a good example of how creative you can get with daemon armies mine even functions as a dual use army in fantasy and 40k

But i would say tantacly anything is makes for a good daemon army.

I saw that army, it was really nice.

The "Angels" from bayonetta would make absolutely stunning demons, but would be a right arse to try and convert.

If your skills are up for it then you should google some and check out the amazing concepts.
