So the Storm Raven is $66.00, while a Valkyrie is $62.00. The Storm Raven contains less pieces then a Valkyrie and seems to be smaller, so why is it more expensive? If anything it should be the same cost if not a few bucks cheaper. Thoughts?

The same reason the Baal Predator is more expensive then the normal Predator? They had to pay the modelers more to come up with something that ugly? This is Games Workshop that we're talking about, and you're expecting their pricing to make sense?

Well if the rumour that the Raven will be available to all chapters is true, then those bad boys will sell like hot cakes at a barn dance. Its just a clever way of maximising the $$$$$$

It's definately a go for Grey Knights. With the popularity of them with BA players already, there's definately going to be much more of a consumer audience when the GKs are released, as well as the rumored "summer of flyers".

I see it's ok, not much we can do other than not to buy it, which will make little difference unless the thing doesn't sell. I personally love the Land Raider with wings/Chibihawk/Mini-TH. I just love the ugly of the model, it's odd, I know, but I sure as Chaos know I will be getting one for my GK (oh the irony)...

@Mecha: $80 in Canada?!? WTF? Last time I checked exchange rates were not that drastic. Maybe GW hates Canada most of all?

GW never factors in exchange rates. When they can milk for more, they conveniently forget. When they're loosing money, suddently they're watchdogs. Technically though, we only pay 79.25.

Logically (and I know that term can;t always be applied)

The Valk is an older kit which means that when it was made the cost of the sculptor's time was lower, the costs of the moulds was lower and there for each kit will cost a little more to cover the difference.

Go to the online retailers. Preordered mine for roughly $50 American shipped. Got two dread kits and a storm raven kit for $120 shipped.

$110 in Australia is insane, I wouldn't even consider it! Thats what 1/4th of my 1500 Point BA Army cost on one model
