Title says it all. I'm building a DP list for a Imperial Fists successor chapter.

Would the fluff allow this?

Every Normal Man Must Be Tempted At Times To Spit On His Hands, Hoist That Black Flag, And Begin Slitting Throats.

Sorry, let me rephrase this.

Would imperial fists use drop pods?

Every Normal Man Must Be Tempted At Times To Spit On His Hands, Hoist That Black Flag, And Begin Slitting Throats.

Why not? Is there something in the fluff that sparked the question?

I skimmed the Lexicanum entry for the IF, but didn't see anything that would effect them using drop pods. (But I am blind, so I might have missed it )

Ofcourse they can, there is nothing in the fluff that says other wise.

The modern Imperial Fists are strict adherents to the Codex Astartes. All you need to do in situations like this is ask yourself, "Would the Ultramarines also do this?" If the answer is yes, then you're in the clear. Then, go about making the process much more painful. I recommend ritual scarification, and elctro-shock therapy, as thats what the Fists are into.

Imperial fists use very defensive tatcics and have popensity for city fights. They wouldn't use them as much as some chapters, but would be usefull to them for claiming a defensive position quickly and accurately.
