I'm planning to part with a few rare Warhammer items and I thought I'd see if anyone might be interested in them before I offer them for trade to a wider audience at a flea market, eBay, etc. These are some really good collectible items.
All trading must be local to the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore-Annapolis area, I do not ship items without the kind of buyer and seller protection that eBay auctions and PayPal provide. If you're in the specified area and are interested, please let me know here on Dakka and we can work on arranging a swap some place locally convenient for both of us. Thanks.
Here's the short list:
1) Sgt. Centurius, a collectible Legion of the Damned Space Marine miniature released years ago to commemorate the opening of the 100th GW retail store, hence the name, "Centurius". This is a rare one and often commands high dollars on auction. The model is out of blister, but is complete and has never been assembled or painted.
2) Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader, first edition 40K published 1987 main rule book. Filled with the original terrific background material that would evolve into the 40K of today. Filled with images and rules for all manner of ideas not shown in newer books, like Imperial Robots, first picture of the Emperor on his Throne, bizarre alien creatures not in any current Codex, etc. This book is complete though the pages are somewhat loose from their binding.
3) Warhammer 40,000 Compendium, this is the red covered compilation of White Dwarf articles from first edition 40K including Squats, the first Imperial Guard list, Ogryns (really early ones), great Space Marine painting suggestions, the famous deodorant bottle Land Speeder and more. This book is in pristine condition with only the slightest signs of age.
4) Realm Of Chaos Slaves To Darkness, this is the first Chaos tome and the coolest, the one with the mature content warning on it. It covers Khorne and Slaanesh and was meant to serve Warhammer Fantasy, 40K and Role Play at the time it was published in 1988. Filled with fantastic art work, some of it by Ian Miller (he did backgrounds for Bakshi's Wizards film with Mark Hamill), fascinating rules for generating Chaos Champions, amazing background material on the nature of Chaos, color banner art work, color images of early Chaos miniatures and much more. This book is in wonderful pristine condition.
Thanks!

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

For anyone who doesn't own the RoC book, it's fantastic. The two volumes are some of the most amazing stuff GW did, and I've heard it said that some of the content should never have been released.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

What are you looking to get for "Centurius"? Cash value/Trade value? I have the original box set for the LotD (bought it the day the local gaming store got it in! Can't imagine how bummed I was when the only rules to be found at the time existed in a WD!) I was under the assumption that I had purchased this model but have not been able to locate him in ay of my storage boxes! Very disappointed that he has gone missing. I hate to think anyone I know would have taken him from me but he is valuable and I don't seem to be missing any other miniatures?

I sent you a personal message through the forum in regard to your query. Thanks.
Someone local made me a very good trade offer for the books so they are spoken for, but Sgt. Centurius is still available.
