helloooo, if you get something like a dredd or deamon prince charge into CC with you and you have melta bombs (ass squads, bikes) can you use them instead of WS. Or do you just stand there and get pounded with little chance of winning???

up close, close enough to smell the fear, then your fighting

Somewhere.

Against anything with an armour value, you can use melta bombs. Although you only get one attack and you need to roll a six to hit the dread/sentinel/whatever unless it's been immobilized, I believe.

A Monsterous Creature like a Demon Prince just gets to beat your face in. You get all your regular attacks, but they're likely gonna be six or so to wound.

As above.

Grenades and Melta bombs are 1 attack per person with the grenades / bombs, and if the vehicle is NOT a walker you hit normally (i.e. based on speed). If you are hitting a Walker you hit them on 6's UNLESS it is immobilised, when you hit based on comparative weapon skill

Yup. Massively sucks, but them's the breaks.

One thing to bear in mind though, is that if you are CHARGED by such a creature, if you are carrying defensive grenades (such as blight grenades), then the charger does not get their +1A for charging. May not save you vs the prince, but it could help!
