Hi, folks!
You will all be pleased to hear that we are now in the process of shipping our new plastic 28mm WWII German zombies.

Our first foray into plastic was not as straightforward as we thought, but it taught us some good lessons along the way.

So we would like to say a big 'thank you' to everyone who placed a pre-release order and have been great in their understanding of our delays, so anyone who bought the pre-release special will not only get the free metal German Zombie Officer but an extra five sprues free to compensate for the delay. We have also included 30 25mm round plastic bases from Renedra in every boxed set, and these will be included in all plastic boxed sets from now on.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I always thought of Zombies as more of a Soviet thing (we the masses must all be the same) while Vampire more of a Nazi thing (master race, aristocracy) but then again I can't think of anything more fun than killing Nazi abominations in the eyes of God, who are also zombies.

Never heard of studio miniatures. They have some nice/fun zombie stuff (that I'll never have any reason to buy).

What's behind the recent plastic explosion? Are all these companies getting their stuff produced in China? Did new manufacturers emerge in NA/Europe?

Wolfenstein games series has always had lots of Zombie and zombie references in. The minis look pretty awesome too.

Do I need an undead IG army though...

Achtung Braaaainsss!

Fun stuff, I need to find a use for them. I must also convince myself that said use is not a Zombie IG Army.

But would such an army be led by a converted Nazi Vampire? Or a Necromancer?

These are really well detailed. I like them a lot, especially the officer. Too bad I'm not gonna be able to pre-order them.

Very nice! The zombies come off as simple yet dynamic all at once.

I want to use at least one of those Nazi zombies for Reinhard Galt in my Delta Green game.

The costs of plastic production have dropped dramatically over the past ten years. You don't have to be a big company like GW to do it anymore. I know some companies are using Chinese manufacturers, but I don't think that has very much to do w/ it. In the grand scheme of things, Chinese manufacturing isn't all that much cheaper. In some situations its actually more expensive (due to shipping costs mainly) than doing it in the US (and I would assume Europe).

Mantic and Warlord both use a company called Renedra in the UK to do their injection molding. The name is on the Sprues.
I have this thought rattling in my head that they(Renedra) used to do work for GW or are using old GW machines.

I think the Perry plastics may also come from there.

I promised my girl that my quest for a feth-ton of undead would end with the release of Mantic zombies.

Sorry my love, but the shambling masses cannot be contained. Especially zany nazi zombies.

Naturally it would be lead by a team of Nazi Scientists and Mystics that had been working on Die Glocke. That's right, it actually was a Bell, and the tolling of it was used to call the Nazi dead back to unlife to defend the eternal Reich.

Gamers need more zombies like GW needs more price increases.

.Only a fool believes there is such a thing as price gouging. Things have value determined by the creator or merchant. If you don't agree with that value, you are free not to purchase.

Shame there aren't more variants of body, even with different heads and arms they might tend to look all the same. On the other hand, 30 in a box for £20 is ok, most if not all the nazi-zombies on the market are metal at the moment so plastic is a nice addition.

My gut feeling though is that the West Wind ones are still better value. You can get a box of 20 metals for £20 and there are many more distinct characterful variants in it.

Sorry for the delay - spent the weekend fixing a leaking tap which turned into me ripping the mains stopcock off the main feed & almost flooding my house! All better now though!

Right -
2 bodies per sprue (all the sprues are the same).
Both have heads, torsos & legs but no arms.
One head is bare & the other has a helmet.
There is 1 spare head (the best IMO) and a forage cap which should fit either bare head.
There are 3 pairs of arms - one set fully sleaved, another half sleaved & the last just has rags at the shoulder.
(The additional bases are just flat plastic, so will be swapped out for 'proper' 25mm round bases so they fit in with the rest of my WW2 german zombies (from west wind).
I will also use spare heads from the SHS as I ordered extra in my last west wind order.)
The mould lines are noticable but not problematic.
The expressions on the faces are probabl the best I've seen - the sculpting is very fine (rather than the chunky faces seen in pastic else where) and crisp.
It's a shame that there is only 2 bodies. Might have to get the Warlord Games WW2 (alive) germans to mix things up, add pouches & guns etc.
I'd give them 7/10 (losing 3 points because of lack of variety).
