Alright bit the bullet, after the past 2 weeks of upsetting people with my guard list I decided I'd make a list from all the painted stuff I have for my DE and go give em a test run.

List for first 2 games was 1000pts

Archon (Husk,Soultrap,blast pistol,shadowfield,combat drugs and webway)
Baron Sathonyx
3 trueborn (2 splinter carbines and 1 blaster plasma and haywire grenades)
Venom with extra splinter cannon (not painted )
11 Wyches (including shardnet, hydra and hekatrix w/blast pistol agoniser)
5 Hellions
4 Beastmasters and 8 Razorwings
Chronos Parasite engine

1st game against blood angels did not go my way his list was like mine everything he had painted the highlights being 9 Death Company a reclusiarch chaplain in a rhino Death Company Dread with Blood Claws (those things can't be legal!!!), an assault squad in a rhino and another dread this one with a plasma cannon. We rolled pitched battle and roll dice and tie I got first turn all good so far, and then disaster struck as he stole the initiative. The rest of the game devolved into a series of fur balls and ended with me having the Baron and 2 wyches (wyches were tied up with dread) and no objectives scored.
Unit of the Match: Beastmasters and Flocks – evaporating death company funny.

2nd game was against Space Marines with a Battlemissions mission where I had to table him before game ended. His list was all footslogging (barring 5 shotgun scouts in a storm) and had 10 sternguard, 10 man Tac , 10man Assault Squad with a jump pack chaplain and 10 man scouts combat squaded 5 in storm, 5 w/heavy bolter on foot. This was a really enjoyable games with some epic combats the highlight being the 3 turn fur ball between the Archon and Chaplain led assault squad which finished in a desiccated chaplain who the previous turn had shattered the archons shadowfield with his last attack (about time I didn’t count but the archons shadowfield had made 14 or so saves in a row). He was wiped out top of my turn 5.
Unit of the Match: Chronos pain engine – giving out pain tokens left and right turned the game from hard fought to a massacre.

For second 2 games removed the archon 1 beastmaster 2 swarms and the plasma grenades from the trueborn to take Vect.

Both games were against the same Eldar player using the same list. His army was roughly 10 storm guardians w/waveserpent, Seer council Light (farseer on jetbike attached to guardian squad with warlock on bikes) 5 warp spiders and 3 walkers each with scatterlaser and starcannon.

3rd Game I got first turn, Eldar player held everything in reserve (good for me I’ve been working the reserve denial army for a while and know its shortcomings). I used my advantage of speed and set up time to move my entire army across the board so that when he came on he was getting one turn of shooting before I was in assault. He rolled on with everything but the warp spiders shot a bit but didn’t disembark his storm guardians, found out to his chagrin that you can’t use fortune coming in from reserves and charged my chronos with his bikes(he’d brought it down to one wound). My turn I manoeuvred the venom so vect could get out and charge the farseer without engaging the rest of the squad, manuvered the rest of my squads for charges and went for it. Beastmasters vs. war walkers saw a weapon ripped off a stun and one destroyed; Vect pimp slapped the farseer around with his pimp cane (the sceptre) and the farseer died; The hellions and the wyches charged the Waveserpent leaving it stunned and immobilised with the doors blocked. Top of his turn 3 the warp spiders make a very risky deepstrike (to be fair it was his best option) and misshaped allowing me to place them in terrain on my side of the board (losing one to dangerous terrain). It was at this point he conceded and we decided to go again.
Unit of the Match: Hellions led by Baron : so very very fast jump packs with fleet the Baron’s master of the skies ability means you can fly through terrain with impunity.

4th Game saw my opponent decide to start with everything on the board and saw me steal the initiative (go Vect!). Bit of manuvering left this game being conceded by my opponent on turn 4 when every one of his units dead or engaged with something that would kill it.
Unit of the Match: Vect the man is Evil (note the capital E) a blast weapon with BS8 hahahaha, stealing the initiative on a 4+ hahahaha, reroll hits and wounds vs. elder- priceless.
