Classicbattletech.com my other favourite gaming site has closed for an indefinite period due to a security breach. I am somewhat concerned with this, at first the login screen appeared along with a caveat that users should not make test posts and be patient with the site. This has been removed in favour of a whitescreen with this message:

Due to a security breach the forums are being taken down indefinitely while the damage to the system is accessed. Because of the nature of this breach it is unlikely we will be restoring a backup of user accounts as it is impossible to know who's passwords and accounts have been compromised.
We are currently accessing our options and will get the forums back up in one form or another as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

Last time something like this was reported on Dakka occuring to a hobby site (Starship Modeller) took a while to recover. Catalyst Game Labs cant afford for the CBT servers to go down for long, and the admin team is very competent. So lets hope for a quick recovery.
