Is it possible to use an ink wash on models painted with acrylic paints? and can you then paint over with acrylic again? I'm looking for a yellow wash, but they aren't around as far as I can see in acrylic paints.

Yeah, GW used to sell inks before they sold washes. Go nuts. Just avoid using multiple inks since if I recall correctly they can mess with each other.

All I need is a yellow to go over orange, any suggestions?
So far I've found a coat d'arms and vallejo yellow ink, I need something pretty bright.
Also, are they applied the same as a regular wash?

Vallejo has inks... there is also Liquitex Acrylic Inks that are very good.

You can try using Golden yellow or what ever there Brightest yellow colour is mix some water into it and ta da ! works more a less same effect ink does. Hope that helps

Mhn, I've heard bad things about doing just water..
Also, I'm a lazy bastard, I'd rather fork over a few bucks then make that stuff myself

Inks are 1000% compatible with acrylics, no worries -
In general you should always try to work your way from light to dark, not from dark to light, they are not opaque enough to brighten anything really, they are more for tinting than anything else if that makes sense?
