I was thinking of getting this...

Do they work well with Guard models? I'd rather have plastic ones, of course, but this just seems easier.

Thanks!

It's possible but requires some cutting. There should be a few topics detailing how to do it somewhere in the modeling section. You'll probably want to weight your bases as well since they'll make the models top heavy.

They're the same size as plastics. Just cut off the stock and carve the hand out for another hand if you really want. A lot of folks use em.

I've used that same set, and have found that they work fairly well. The stock is a bit big, but in most cases it won't interfere.

I found it was easy enough to clip off the hand, and use a file to smooth out the trigger area. Then, you can superglue it onto the Guard hand.

Another option that I used is to clip the hand off the guardsman model, and simply glue the meltagun with hand on the stump. It could be painted as either a bionic hand, or a gloved one. This works better for Cadian models than with the Catachans.

Ive used them- they do work, but I found they needed a fair amount of filing to sit flush on the model. Just a heads up.
