I've just sat down to finally get around to painting my orks, its been well over ...uh 3 years min. Anyway we have a well at my house and its rather heavy on iron. Would this affect my paint much? I've started on my stompa and the paints just spreading rather thin and i dont want to glob it on. I'm using Gw paints starting off with tin bitz. (i know people are against gw paint but i got gift vouchers for Christmas and my birthday) Any thoughts?

I don't think it'll be a serious issue, just make sure you properly seal your minis when you're done painting them, this way any potential oxidization issues are averted.

If you are worried then get distilled water from your grocery store. Runs about $1 per gallon which in painting will last you several years.

Sounds good enough for me, I've just been out of the "game" to long and have to "shake the dust off" so to speak. Thanks.

I use the filtered water that comes out of my 'fridge. I usually microwave it a little to get it to room temperature just because I feel like it is easier to mix and work with that way.

What a curious thing.
Normal tap water is fine, even the well water should be okay with little effect on the finish.
