On a sombreo, wearing a deckchair.

In five days, the third in GW Norwich's series of The Tale Of Many Gamers (ToMG) or The Search For Norwich's Ultimate Hobbyist, this one being WotR. We have already done WHFB and 40K, in which I came 3rd and 2nd respectively while playing Ogres and Tyranids. I am also currently leading the Ultimate Hobbyist competition, ahead of Nick Ellingworth who is also on this forum by 12 points. Having already played with two close combat armies, i decided to do something different, and go for a complete cavalry with no shooting. Completely different.

After combing my way through the WotR book, i decided to do Gondor, mainly becasue I get to paint the Swan Knights, who were my favourite things in the LotR books.

The premise of this ToMG is that you all start of at the same level of points, the other two was by boxset and HQ. Hard to do with WotR, so we were set the the limit of 750 and the addition of 250 a fortnight until the last one where we add 500, my starting force was three boxes of Dol Amroth knights and Imrahil. In my local GW, my hatred of metal models is well known so I made my one out of a Dol Amroth knight without a helmet and it kinda looks like him.

Anyway, here are the pictures, and the first of many.

So, there you are, Nick should be posting his one soon. So if your reading this one Nick, get on it. Edit - Also, Formosa and GorillaWizrd whould be doing this soon.

From what I remember from the discussions we've had about this TOMG Lorna will be going with a mix of Swan and Minas Tirith knights.
