I really like those red-robed Mechanicus guys, so I thought I might enjoy a marine army themed their direction. Basically, the plan is to take "high-tech" units and paint some Dark Angels to look like Mechanicus.
EDIT
HQ Master of the Forge on bike 135 pt
HQ Captain on bike with Relic Blade 165 pt
Elites Sternguard (6) in Razorback with lascannon and plasma gun 225
Elites Sternguard (6) in Razorback with lascannon and plasma gun 225
Elites Sternguard (6) in Razorback with lascannon and plasma gun 225
Troops Bike Squad (5) meltagun x2 Sargeant with power fist 185
Troops Bike Squad (5) meltagun x2 Sargeant with power fist 185
Heavy Support Dreadnought with multi-melta and heavy flamer 115
Heavy Support Dreadnought with multi-melta and heavy flamer 115
Heavy Support Dreadnought with multi-melta and heavy flamer 115
I'll be sticking an HQ with each bike squad. Once the Sternguard are dropped off where I need them, I'll be using the Razorbacks aggressively for anti-tank or anti-heavy infantry. The Dreadnoughts will continuously advance, engaging anything and keeping the Sternguard safe from melee. The bikes will be used for quick support where it's needed. We only play annihilate games in my area.
Currently this list is 1690 points, but I'd like to get it down to 1500.

Try to write a regular list.
It will be easier to give you advices or critics.

Woah. What's going on?
What are the fancy guns? Combi-weapons? if so, combi what? You do not need 3 powerfists on sternguard. You do not need any at all, but you can have one if you really want. or do you mean one for each squad?
"the finest in rhinos"...
I suppose you mean a fist on each bike squad? Get rid of plasmas on bike squads. Switch to flamers for the anti-infantry or melta for the anti tank.
Please do not write lists in this way. You need to lay out the units inidivdually with upgrades listed and a final points cost for each unit. You write down your tactics at the bottom of the page

LoneLictor wrote:I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.
Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space. |

I understand where you are goin gwith this list. I would suggest you give the Master of the Forge the Conversion Beamer and put him on a bike as well.
Give the Dreadnaughts Multi Melta and Heavy Flamer and use them in Drop Pods. They can help handle both Anti Tank and Anti Infantry as well as put a lot of pressure on you opponent to deal with them and help give your Bikes a chance to get across the board.

It isn't easy to figure out but still possible I was thinking that you could take away the powerfists and then give the Master of the Forge a bike and a conversion beamer That will leave some room for possible some smaller upgrades like power swords or melta bombs for that tank destruction. Looks good but like the other people said, try a less jumbled looking format to your list. Hope this helped edit: posted too late, someone stole my idea for conversion beamer on bike, fast typer Da Piper

The hell is going on here........ You my good sire need to lay this out so people know waht your doing, also please drop the "fancy rhino" stuff..... we know its a rhino dont attach words unless its something like "rhino with searchlights" as an example.
And are you going to make thsoe "fancy bolters" something that looks like it will come right out of Army of Two
edit. Oh bugger i just realized that that is your first post, for future referance hers a way of how people generaly prefer to see lists written out.
example list.
HQ Chaplain with jump pack X amount of points
Elites Vangaurd veterans (9) with X amount of weapons of choice and/or other guns X amount of points
troops Tactical Marines (10) flamer, multimelta in a drop pod or rhino X amount of points
you get the idea by now, but putting your list like this will generaly garner better responses from the masses

Army list edited. Shooting for 1500 points now, need to shave off 190.
Fancy guns referred to Sternguard bolters!
"The finest in Rhinos" referred to Razorbacks!

You should possibly move your point limit to 1750pts because there really isn't anything you get get rid of unless you removed a dreadnaught and the powerfists.
