Okay, it looks rather good all around, and is very good considering you're new to 40k.

The only thing I would suggest is getting rid of about 4 kroot hounds, and then getting plasma rifles for your broadsides, it will go well with the hwmt, because now you have a potential of firing 3 high strength -armor ignoring shots.

I must say, this is a good list for a beginner.

Consider putting any Shield Drones here as B-sides draw the enemy fire more than anything and Crisis Suits need them less, because they can JSJ to (relative) safety. As TB said, pretty good list. Your loss, and probably the next couple losses will simply be due to inexperience. Keep playing though. IT took me 18 odd games ( ) to finally get that first win ... ooh, quite a few years ago.

I had the luck of learning the game with everybody in my gaming group... and I still lost most of my early games.

However, this experience will be good, because when the new Tau codex will come out, you are already learning how to do well with less than average codex. So when you have an over-powered codex, who knows how much better you're going to do...

I forgot about the shield drones on your broadsides. Perhaps you could get rid of the targeting arrays on your crisis suits to make the points for it? And you could get rid of the team leaders as well. That would also get points for a mt on your D-fish.

Thanks guys for the feed back, I have been reading a lot of posts to see how other people field their Tau, its good to know that it ain't gonna be easy to play with them, it will be a challenge to win a game. I took your advice and implemented the changes, I've been thinking though would another Railhead be better than the two Broadsides?

You have plenty of fireknifes, which could take down some of the armor, and then two railguns mights cut it...

i think you are safe how you are now.

I think that is a could list, I would totally play this.

The only thing I don't like is the HW-MT on your Broadsides... I would only ever get that upgrade if I had the plasma rifles as well... but you don't have the points for plasma rifles...

Get rid of the disruption pods on your piranhas... you can turbo-boost, and get a 3+ cover save, and once you stop moving to shoot at tanks, you will be well within 12" of many things, so the upgrade is next to pointless...

Getting rid of that, 1 kroot, and the BF will get you the points to get plasma rifles for your broadsides, making them a load better.

I know this is minor, but your list is already very good, so there is only minor nit-picking left to do..
