I assume you read the little comic book that came with the movie? it explains why there is only the captain, apothacary, and the one squad going.


I wouldn't be too worried over the Crux. we could chalk it up to being a Heresy era artifact able to project a larger version of the Power Field around a Power weapon.


i do agree that the Flamer bits were a little overdone.


Bolt shells exploding. i think this could be explained by the fact that the shells were exploding inside the armor(hence no exploding marines) the reason the headshot marines weren't obliterated was because of Astartes bone strength(and they could have been fractured, but not have broken the skin)


a Helmet is the weakest section of Power armor and as such it is a good place to aim for. when a marine is charging directly into oncoming fire the Bolt has even better penetration.
