I was playing in a tournament and there was a ruling made by the TO and he said that I don't get cover saves vs. Brood progenitor when my tervigon died. They were in area terrain. They said you only get cover vs. shooting ATTACKS and it wasn't an attack.

The rule says "should a tervigon be slain, every termagant brood, spawned or otherwise, within 6" immediately suffers 3d6 strength 3 AP- hits."

I would think that the AP- made it the same as shooting. If you can get cover from my spirit leech why can't I get cover vs. this? That was my argument.

It's effectively a shooting attack, as only shooting atacks have an AP.

Given Spirit Leech gives cover saves it would make sense, to be consistent, to give cover saves to the broods.

Agreed with Nos

Been out of the game for awhile, trying to find time to get back into it.
