Grovelin' Grot Rigger

Hi all.
I don't know where this guy came from but I was given him a while back,
I googled it and couldn't find anything about it, is it forgeworld or custom?
There are no markings or anything, it didn't come in a box either just wrapped in news paper.
I thought it might be one of the limited edition forgeworld one's but can't find anything on the net and there's no numbers on it like my Resident Evil Nemesis bust.
its about 14cm/6inch high
anyone know for sure what company made it.

The face doesn't look very forgeworldish to me-at least based on their earlier ork busts. Maybe an independant sculptor, or possibly warp artifactcs?

It looks like one of those Forge World limited edition Dioramas. Could be worth alot since I heard they scrap the molds after a while (mainly because the molds just break).

Im sure that it is the 58mm scale models one branch of GW make, I have seen a few scaled "models" like that. I could be wrong but im sure an arm of GW make 58mm scale models of the 28mm models, small range though.

You are talking about the 54mm Inquisitor range (specialist games), but they never released an ork for that.

I would definitly say that is a 3-up.
3-Ups are large scale models that are made as a base point when designing a model.
the final design is then scanned into a computer, shrunk down to proper scale, molds are made, and then sold to you and me.
every GW model has a 3-Up somewhere, usually on it's designer's desk.

I doubt it's a 3-up. It's too dynamic. It's not a character model (too plain), so it wouldn't have a reason to be posed so dynamically.
Plus, by looking at the face, it appears to be more of a "late" 2nd edition/ "early" 3rd edition style Ork (probably early 3e, considering the muscles).
My wager goes on it being an old Forgeworld piece.
