I've been looking everywhere to try and make a counts as fantasy army using plastic 28mm imperial roman infantry. A quick search of historical miniatures turned up Warlord Games' very resonably priced Imperial Roman Starter army. $125 for 124 plastic multi-pose figures.
Unfortunately, I am unable to find any pictures of the models assembled and painted. Can anybody here with experience with these models help me out?

What do you want to know. Basically three pieces plus a shield. You just have to add the head and the right arm on them. Then you stick the shield to the left arm.
I like them a lot. They also come with shield sticker / transfers that look really nice and are easy to put on. I have a complete army that I am getting ready to put together and want more.
The plastic auxilliaries are even nicer in my opinion. The only down side is they are not very big miniatures. Much closer to a true 28mm or maybe even a 25mm miniature so you may need to take this into account.

Would you happen to have pictures of assembled and/or painted models?

Thank you very much for the links.
It's a shame Beasts of War hosts their videos on youtube. It takes me like a half hour to stream a 10 minute video as opposed to the ~5 mins it takes to download a 1gb file.

I've got a box of these guys.
As an add, I'll say that they arn't the same "Heroic" scale as Warhammer Fantasy, they are smaller true scale 28mm. But they are great figures, the heads arn't out of scale, and the units look coherent when you add them together.
These guys are a great paint, you can basecoat them black, then drybrush the colors on them, metals work great, and they are small enough that a unit can be finished in a couple of hours.
I don't have pictures, yet, but I recommend these guys if you need a good unit.
They have horsemen, Saxons, and Celts as well.
Great figures, great price.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

I bought the praetorian guard, the auxilliary cavalry, primus pilus, and a balista. Plastics were pretty good to build, fun 2 paint, metals were fun to built and paint
