So, I was thinking about starting a second army (there's an active poll http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/340566.page), but my buddy who got me hooked on this dang hobby said I shouldn't start a new army until I have 2500 points in my existing one. I have 1700 total (but only 1500 fieldable becuse of 4 HQs).

My question to you experienced folks is this. What's next? Kans? DeffDreds? Burnas? Wagons? Truks? Kopters? More Boyz? More Nobz? Storm Boyz? Gretchin? Lobbas? What?

Briefly my army is as follows:

HQs:
- Warboss PK, bike, AS
- Warboss PK
- Big Mek SAG
- Big Mek KFF
Fast Attack:
- 9 Biker Boyz w 1 Nob with BP and PK
Elite:
- 5 Nobz (AoBR) & Pain Boy
- 12 Lootas
Troops:
- 30 Shoota Boyz incl/ 1 Nob (PK, BP) and 3 Rokkit Launchas
- 30 Shoota Boyz incl/ 1 Nob (PK, BP) and 3 Big Shootas
- 20 Slugga Boyz incl/ 1 Nob (PK, BP) and 3 Big Shootas

Librarium Subject: The Orkansaw Razurbax

Little was known about the small band of the Orkansans (pr. or-kan-zans) until the last millennia. It was first thought by the Empire that they were an entirely separate race that only resembled the Ork. That has proven to be false. Unlike other Ork bands and tribes, the Orkansans have a greater love of efficiency and money, or loot, than battle. This was not very ork-like and led to the false assumption that they were a different race. Additionally, they speak an unintelligible dialect of Ork that other tribes find amusing. The Orkansans refer to this language as ’illbilly. Their home world, Orkansas (pr. or-kan-saw) is a craggy world constantly assailed by meteorite impacts that lies on the galactic “Southern Rim.” It is through these incessant meteor impacts and subsequent fragmentation of Orkansas they are thought to have seeded the galaxy with their clan. Apparently, they would ride shards of rock flung into the warp reappearing elsewhere in the galaxy to set up shop. The Orks lived in depressions and valleys that they refer to as hollers. These depressions are honeycombed with caves and provide excellent warp-space transport as they are completely sealed and serve as excellent breeding grounds for squigs.

As a whole, the band initially received notoriety when they defeated the Bad Moon Clan. In fact, this was accidental, as the Orkansans infiltrated the Bad Moon’s encampment and stole all the weaponry and most of the Bad Moon’s teef (ork currency). The disheartened Bad Moons withdrew from the field of battle to reconstitute their weapons and re-grow their teeth. Meanwhile the now infamous Ork Warboss Sam Waltork created a weapon and war-machine cartel and rose to become the richest ork in history. Across the galaxy he started a chain of merchandisers that traded and sold weaponry. This chain is now known as “Wal-Mork.” The Orkansan Clan erupted on the galaxy like a warp storm when they realized that spoils taken in battle could be later sold with minimal effort to the other clans. Most clans envy the Orkansans’ wealth and often bemoan the poor quality of the weaponry, but “the low cost keeps ‘em comin’ back!” The best weapons are, of course, saved for the Orkansans.

Orkansan Kulture is simple and barbaric. They know only one business, lootin’, and only one sport, Hawg Racin’. There is an animal that these orks have used as mounts for eons and are prized possessions which all of the Orkansans yearn to obtain, be it a mek, nob or simple boy. They are found only in the mountainous region of the Ozorks (pr. oh-zorks) and resemble a massive wild boar, but blood-red in color. They are known by many names: “pigz, hawgs, and razurbax” to name a few. These ferocious, smelly beasts emit a cloud of noxious bowel vapor that clouds the air, concealing their charge and clogs even the most robust of Space Marine air filters. Now the Orkansaw Razurbak has been combined with dakka-gunz and mechanized targeting as well as “da juice” that make them as fast as a warbike and twice as smelly. From this orky engineering has sprung a fleet of vicious stampeding beasts and the spiritual core of the Orkansan Clan.

Other Orkansans of note:
Sam Waltork: Warboss, Entrepreneur and Tooth-[see forum posting rules]
Bill Clintork: Big Mek (SAG) evolved from a Loota
Douglas McArthork: Big Mek (KFF) vows a return to the Filipine System
Cash: Weird boy notable for writing the anthem “Ring of Fire (and Dakka)”
Doktor G: Pain boy

Orkansan Warchant:
Waaaaaaaagh, Pig, Soieeee!
Waaaaaaaagh, Pig, Soieeee!
Waaaaaaaagh, Pig, Soieeee, Razurbax!!!!!

Orkansan Clan Formed:
1836 (Ork years)

Planetary Regions and Towns:
Ozorks – Mountainous region and spiritual homeland.
Li’l Rock – Planetary capital
Texorkanuh – Lawless border town
Harrisork – Ozork hub village

You have a lot of Footslogging, and a little bit of Speed Freak going on here.

My suggestion to you would be to either enhance the footslogging ability of your list, or the speed factor of your list.

For more Stompy:

Add a Battlewagon for your KFF Mek to ride in while you escort your Boyz to the front line. If you want to go up to 2500, you should count on 2 or 3 Battlewagons, and give all your Boyz a ride.

Add some serious Mek to the list. 3 Killa Kans and a couple of Dreads. You could go full-on Kan wall and do 9 Killa Kans.

For more Speed Freak:

Get a squad of Nob Bikers going. Then add in one or more of the following:

Stormboyz
2-3 Trukks
A couple squadrons of Warbuggies
Some Deffkoptas.

PERSONALLY, I'd probably add 2 Battlewagons, and a squad of Kans, and then see what point value you're at after redoing your Boyz squads to fit in the wagons. You could probably have 2 20 man Ork squads in the wagons, and 2 more 20 man squads footsloging behind them with the Kans. A couple of Deffkoptas w/buzzsaws and Rokkits would be welcome additions.
