First, I'd like to say that I have just starting playing warhammer 40k during Xmas. I have 3 or 4 games with a friend that started at the same time than me. We bought Assault on black reach and we do skirmishes fromt ime to time. I have bought other things since then but I always lose, here is my last army list.
WarBoss (Power Klaw, Twin Linked Shoota, 'eavy Armor) - 95
Nobz x 7 (Powerclaw x 1, 'eavy armor x 7) - 200
Warboss is in the Nobz squad
Ork boyz x 20 (ard boyz x 20) - 200
Ork boyz x 10 (Big shoota x 4, rokkit luncha x1) - 90
FAST ATTACK
Deffkopta x 3 (twin-linked rokkit luncha x 3) - 135
warbuggie x 1 - 30
I am going on against that SM army
tactical space marines x 10 (missile launcher x1, sergeant)
scout squad x 5 or 6 (heavy bolter x1, sniper rifle x 2)
Command squad(apothecary, champion, force commander, 2 other units)
Armour
Dreadnought (multi-melta)
Vindicator tank
PS: the scout squad might have one more sniper rifle and I am really not sure about the last 2 units of the command squad.
So my big problem is the armor. I get on his infantry quite easily, but when his armor gets into play, i get killed quite fast.
Our last battle finished with me losing and him only having his Command Squad, his dreadnought and his vindicator. The armor killed over half of my army by itself.
From what I've been seeing, i should really put some nobz in my ork boys squad with a power klaw, but after that, I got no idea what to do.

Yes, most definitely every ork boyz squad should have a PK nob with a bosspole as well, it helps you stick around longer.
-You can only have one BS or Rokkit per 10 boyz in a squad, so you can't have the 4 & 1 in that 10 man squad.
In general you'll want to get at least another 30-40 boyz, most ork armies are built around the ork boy and at 6 points it's an excellent buy.
A painboy with your nobs will make them much tougher to kill, as well as allowing you to take cybork for a 5+ invuln save. In general I say it's better to have a 5+ all the time, then a 4+ some of the time.
If you're all meched up in transports, then sometimes you go 'eavy armour because you can choose the targets you fight better than footsloggin'.
You'll also want cybork rather than 'eavy armour and TL shoota on the warboss. Also take a bosspole on him or one of the nobs for that squad.
Ask your friend to let you proxy a little to try stuff out. For instance, I would drop the warbuggie and split each deffkopta into its own group, with TL rokkits and buzzsaw on each. (buzzsaws being the proxy until you can model them on, I hear good things about plasticard)
They are excellent alpha strike or outflanking tank hunters. If you go first, you place them at the front of your deployment zone, turbo-boost them in the scout phase, then it is your turn,
move forward 12", shoot a rokkit and side armour and then assault a tank that hasn't been able to move yet for auto-hits against 10 rear armour.
If you go second you outflank them from reserve, hitting things in the side/rear when you come on.
You'll run into trouble assaulting the dreadnaught like that, but against the vindi it works great and he's much of your problem.
If you do field the warbuggie, it should have TL rokkits and be used as anti-tank support mostly. Warbuggies are great support in mech lists for very cheap and can be hid behind other vehicles easily, but I think for footslogging the deffkopta fits better because it will either hit them turn one or come in from reserve and not get shot up before getting to do anything.
As you look to future of your army, start to think of what play style you like. Orks can do a large variety of play styles and do them well. The trick is to pick one and go all out with it, mixing elements hurts orks.
Some of the many types are green tide, kan wall, mechanized, speed freaks, shooty, etc. Just ask in the tactics section if you need an explanation of the different army types.
Things like a big mek w/ KFF, lootas, and more boyz will fit into many different types of armies and are good starting places if you're not sure.

You must understand that for an ork a day that starts off killing something with your bare hands, and ends with those same hands being chopped off in battle, is a good one.

Few things. Unless Im misreading how you listed your build. You cant have 4 bigshootas and a rokkit launch in one mob. You can have at most 3 bigshoota or rokkits but you need 30 boyz.
If you want to keep the buggy, find 5 points somewhere and make it TL rokkits. Its average is better then a BS3 shot being TL, and it can kill MEQs being ap3. Id say dump the Ardboyz, as Eavy Armor is not that fantastic. Make them regular boyz (you really need more boyz btw, that would be priority 1) Also the Warboss should have cybork always. You can keep the eavy armor if you want, or ditch it, but the cybork is a must, just like the PK.
And yea split the koptas into 3 separate units with TL rokkits/buzzsaw. They will murder transports/light tanks

Well congrats on the win.
LambdaZero - Check this section or make your own thread for SM against Orks tactics. There is plenty here. Ive played against SM alot(not surprising they are the most popular army by far) so I know what kills Orks pretty good
