Yeah, the
GD can be taken along with
DPs.
Basically it's
MC spam. And yes, my Anti-tank ability is a hair lacking. But my main idea is to take tanks out with my
MCs. and if it's a suicide mission on the tank, I'll hopefully hit it with my Chosen.
Of course my goal is to have the
GD come in from reserves after the Chosen, but good point. I almost forgot about rolling for reserves and a 1/2 chance of them coming in turn two isn't really that great. especially if the two outflanking units get separated by 1-2 turns.
Re-evaluating my list. I still love the Monster mash
MC stuff, but turn one = 3 rhinos, 2
dp deployed....and that's it heh. I may need to drop / add a couple of things. And definitely a lowly champion on one of the
CSM squads (with no extra wargear) will probably be one of em.
Considering the Chosen squads are....roughly 190 points each(transport included) I may opt to just drop them completely for more traditional Anti-tank and perhaps just more
MEQs (since
CSM are great at flooding the board with 3+ armor saves)
I'm not a huge fan of obliterators (I mean I am, but not when I'm taking 400 points of "
hq" choice)
Soooo, my first change here is
------Drop both Chosen squads!!!
------Add 2 Dakka Preds
------Add 2 reg
CSM Champions
------leaves 160 points left over
(Keep in mind I still have x3 havok launchers)
I like it

. I'm not fielding any this way now. But I have seen Dakka pred + havok launcher do really well. Considering they have to hold still to get all their shots havok launcher or not. It's a great 15 point upgrade with 48'' range.
Thanks for the input so far Rodgers and Combat!
