Sorry about caps

Well this is a very serious list, created around the idea of outflanking transport and causing a lot of damage.
Keep in mind this is only a 1500pt list. It's not a Khan list but it's close considering it's CSM

x1 DP, Wings + Warptime
x1 DP, MoS + Lash
x1 Greater Daemon

x6 Chosen Chaos, x3 Melta, x2 Flamer, Champion, Rhino
x6 Chosen Chaos, x3 Melta, x2 Flamer, Champion, Rhino

x10 CSM, x2 melta, IoCG, rhino+havok launcher
x10 CSM, x2 melta, IoCG, rhino+havok launcher
x8 Berzerkers, champ + PW + meltabombs, rhino+havok launcher

Well that's it. I've watched a lot of fights and I'm fairly sure this army would do great against my friends Necron, IG, and Space Wolves army.

My only idea is perhaps drop the flamers from the chosen, maybe switch to flamers on one CSM squad and add Power Weapons to the chosen squad, It appears that they normally get in CC before the Greater Daemon gets a chance to pop out. Depending on the enemy of course. still 12 outflanking space marines in rhinos proves to be a huge issue and a major concern (a lot of firepower allocated towards these two squads).

Either way I think the Chosen do their job. Take heat off the other three rhinos (that only move 6'' because of the Havok Launchers) and try to take out at least one key piece of heavy weaponry (whether it's a long fangs squad or a strong tank) They seem to always do the job.

A lot of CC would be great for this list! I'm just looking for some information that I may have overlooked. I know it's a little heavy on stuff, but 3 MCs, tons of anti-infantry, and enough melta to handle mech armies. I think it's about right.

The purpose of argument is informative discourse, not to see who finishes in front.

Can you have 3 HQ in 1500pts.??(two DP and a Greater Daemon) The army is little small in my book but I am very new to 40k!! That's alot of rhinos your army will moving down the board fast!!! How are going to deal with tanks and anti tank weapons?

Greater Deamon doesn't count as an HQ choice

Chaos anti-tank, if your not using Oblits (which fair enough if you don't want too....) then its melta and combat.....
I would be worried about playing IG especially with that army, but i don't know what is in your friends IG list...

I would be carefull with your GD though, if he's on before chosen are on, he's coming in through the Zerker champ (Who should have a power fist i think...), maybe drop the Havok Launchers to give the CSM squads a champ...

Yeah, the GD can be taken along with DPs.

Basically it's MC spam. And yes, my Anti-tank ability is a hair lacking. But my main idea is to take tanks out with my MCs. and if it's a suicide mission on the tank, I'll hopefully hit it with my Chosen.

Of course my goal is to have the GD come in from reserves after the Chosen, but good point. I almost forgot about rolling for reserves and a 1/2 chance of them coming in turn two isn't really that great. especially if the two outflanking units get separated by 1-2 turns.

Re-evaluating my list. I still love the Monster mash MC stuff, but turn one = 3 rhinos, 2 dp deployed....and that's it heh. I may need to drop / add a couple of things. And definitely a lowly champion on one of the CSM squads (with no extra wargear) will probably be one of em.

Considering the Chosen squads are....roughly 190 points each(transport included) I may opt to just drop them completely for more traditional Anti-tank and perhaps just more MEQs (since CSM are great at flooding the board with 3+ armor saves)

I'm not a huge fan of obliterators (I mean I am, but not when I'm taking 400 points of "hq" choice)

Soooo, my first change here is
------Drop both Chosen squads!!!

------Add 2 Dakka Preds

------Add 2 reg CSM Champions

------leaves 160 points left over

(Keep in mind I still have x3 havok launchers)

I like it . I'm not fielding any this way now. But I have seen Dakka pred + havok launcher do really well. Considering they have to hold still to get all their shots havok launcher or not. It's a great 15 point upgrade with 48'' range.

Thanks for the input so far Rodgers and Combat!
