All my standard Guardsman will have this colour scheme and hopefully look like this! ^_^

What will your tanks look like?

The model does most of the work for me, my tanks will prolly be red with black markings. have pics of wip Valkyrie and basilisk in the other painting forum.

I'd go for a Dirt brown base rather than the red. There's a good deal of red on your model, so it might be good to get some other color on the base.

I went for red as I want my guards to be from a Martian style planet so their red uniforms serve as camouflage aswell! will be painting up a gaming table in the same theme for them very soon, just waiting for it to arrive!! ^_^

If i was you, i would have shaved the iconography of the water bottle. Looks good though, where are the legs from?

Nice work, Slushosaur! He looks quite intimidating with his Helghast helmet and stolen SM backpack. I like it.

I like the skull and wings, painted them gold with Red wings on the lasgun to match my force name. The mini is actually a combination of cadian arms with Wargames factory shock troop body and head! Also added SM backpack for a bulkier more sci fi look, added them to the lot and even gave the medic an apothecary one! ^_^

Looks a lot like the Crimson Lance from Borderlands.....aim my Sniper....BLAM!
Good work, the Foundry pieces definitely work nicely with the IG arms!

yeah shame same cant be said for the other way around! Was a lot of work and trimming to get the cadian body to hold the shock troop guns! lol Have a look at my Penal Legionaire.

I like it, very nicely converted and painted. Although I will second the base, I understand your fluff behind it, just that it takes away from the overall model, a more contrasting base would definitely bring out the paint job on the model itself. Anyway, I like it alot and look forward to the whole army.

Very awesome mini, it reminds me of like the red storm troopers from episode 6 mixed with DKoK. Very handsom work, can't wait to see a squard or army of them.

Your vision of sinister guardsmen looks great. Nice choice of colors and I love the eye lens brightness. The only recommendation I would make is to change the tone of the bases....the red velvet cake crumbs they are walking through isnt convincing me of any type of red planet

Looks nice. Maybe with the base, you could do a slighty dustier basic colour, with patches of red rocks? That way it still contrasts with the model, but there's a reason for the camo colour.

I like the WGF shock trooper look, the only modelling thing i'm not sure about is the SM backpack - it's such an obvious and recognisable pieces, and looks quite a lot too big for him.

Make for nice Bloodpact too.

That's a pretty awesome model. The only criticism I have is the use of the SM backpack. In my opinion, it just looks somewhat out of place. Have you considered shaving the upper ends off of it? I think that would eliminate the distinct SM look while maintaining the overall look that the model is going for. Other than that, it looks great.

I like the red terrain, has a very mars feel that ive never really seen. Im painting my ig with a similiar color scheme but with a bit more dark grey than red.

My only gripe is the back pack, bit too big especially since its not a storm trooper

The reason i went for the SM backpack is i wanted a form of rebreather type device for their backs so they would be more matching with the FW malitia models i'll be using for my Veterans. was an easier option than custom building LOTS of pipe and tubey backpacks for normal Guardsman! lol

Reminds me of the Nod soldiers from C&C renegade... looking great!

I like this mini quite a bit,really conveys a sinister feel.
However,I do agree that the coloring on the base should be slightly altered.
Definitely looking forward to seeing a squad of these and more.
