Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

Been an age since I got around to taking any pics of my armies, so finally got up today and took some shots of my painted Orks (so far, still have a load of tin/grey boyz to go) and thought I'd share with folks here on Dakka.

This is basically (give or take a model or two) the army I took to the Warhammer 40K doubles last year, and they count towards my Grodgob's Lootas army. All the figures have extra gear and the like on them from enemies they've slain, and I've tried to paint most boys with at least two clothing colours to represent them nicking scraps from the dead.

Big Mek Zubgrod, converted with a Burna.

Big Mek Zubgrod and his prize Deff Dread, the Dread was a gift from Aurelia which she scratchbuilt for me.

My Lootas, well being Death Skulls I had to have some.

My Trukk Mob, led by Nob Grotbag in the top pic.

Stormboyz Mob, with Nob Madfella and his banna wava Wotzit.

Warbuggy, a conversion into a trike. I saw a similar one in a White Dwarf (I think) ages back and wanted to have a go as it looked much better than the current Warbuggy. I was quite happy with the result.

My Grots, these fellas got us a get two draws just for sitting on the objective all game in the doubles torunie, well worth the points.

Finally for my Orks, here are some Objectives Aurelia made and painted for me, just thought I'd show thwm as I love them. My fave two I've taken a scond pic, mainly to show the reverse side of 'Drinking Buddies'

I thought I'd aslo show the most recent things I've painted. These Necrons where painted for my 7yr olds Christmas Prezzie last month, a thousand point army. Necron Lord, Monolith, some Destroyers, Six Swarms and twenty-four Warriors. He was very happy with them.

Any comments are appreciated.

I like the monolith and necrons as theyve got a weathered look

I apologise to anyone who interacted with me around 2009-2012.

Very nicely painted! I love everything except the Deff Dread, it might just be the picture but it looks awfully odd to me, and the paint job seems very, very strange. However, everything else is beautiful!

Cheers for the comments.

As to the Deff Dread, yeah to be honest I'm still not happy with it myself. Thinking of trying a touch up on the blue, too strong a colour at the moment.

It's probably a good thing I've not managed to varnish them yet.

As to its look, its a poor angle, here's a thread I posted last year before it was painted, that shows it from four directions.
