I am looking for places to buy skaven slaves (the current metal ones) for around £20, with a mix of hand weapons and slings, with possibly some spears. Were can I buy these from 4 cheap, be it private, a retailer, or something like ebay?

Most people just use battalion/starter set clanrats for their slaves. It's easy to get away wit if you give the two unit types diffeent equipment, and maybe paint the slaves filthier, well vor skaven anyway.

I also saw in a WD a unit of slaves made up with models from different races. IIRC, empire free company are about £2 cheaper than the clan rat box and come with a variety of bitz for conversions.

H'mm, it certainly wouldn't be something I wouldn't want to do, but there is something about the ease of moslty flesh coloured model painting, and all those skaven facing the same way in hordes, which the metal ones have:

Best of luck to ya then as skavenslaves are one of the most numerous units in the skaven arsenal and with one of the worst model/cash ration in their entire range. I'd say e-bay is your best bet, or you could learn to recast or something.
