Looking for the most efficient way to acquire some stormbolters for tactical marine sgts. I know the commander box comes with one, but what other boxes have ones easily transferable to a power armored marine.

None really, the termi stormbolters are attached to the arm. Maybe something in the IG line but im not sure. Why don't you try bits ordering them from warstore or someplace?

I've seen people make their own by taking two regular bolters, sanding the inside faces smooth, gluing them together, and then filling any gaps. May be more work than you'd like, but spare bolters are much easier to come by, so it'll work in a pinch.

The warstore is overpriced. Try bartertown.com or ebay if your gaming buddies don't have spare ones to trade.

There are more less than honorable ways to get multiples of relatively hard to find items. That is all I will say on that.

there's also the pintle mounted stormbolter from the vehicle sprue, I don't have my model bits in front of me to compare so that one might be too big too but I know it's pretty good looking

the Less honorable way of aquiring multiple hard to find parts,

buy a silicone moulding kit and some resin have fun,,,, do not sell them cause then your really breaking the law!

or better yet create your own version and mould/cast then your being totaly honorable unless you try to sell them!

recasting is breaking the law regardless of if you sell or not.

And there is a reason I didn't mention this outright. PM's are there for a reason.

eBay. Search for "40k stormbolter". Buy from same seller to save on shipping.

Or go to a bits seller's web site and buy direct.

I absolutely love Hoard O' Bits.

Clip off the wolfy bits, and you've got 6 stormbolters for $4.

They have their own website too now, not just eBay anymore.

I tend to glue two Bolters together. You'd have to do some filing, but it gets you a rather unique stormbolter. Although I have alot of extra bolters due to running CSM, dont know about loyalists.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Recasting is not against the law. In fact GW suggest you do so yourself for items like purity seals, Chapter symbols and other details.

ffs yes it is and no they don't.

I have grown quite tired of ignorant people saying that recasting for personal use without expressed written consent from the copyright holder is legal. IT IS NOT IN ANY WAY.

Attention all space marine bashing neckbeards: Nobody cares what you have to say, so stop trying and go cry yourself to sleep.

I don't mean to derail this thread and won't speak any more on recasting's legality or lack thereof.

Hoard O Bits on eBay is the best legitimate way to get multiples of any GW bit out there.
