I was listening to a podcast yesterday (the imperial voxcast) and they make a references to a person who was a "chosen one". what does this term mean?

Honestly no idea.

What was the context? "Chosen one" is a really common trope/name for just that; the chosen one. Usually some kind of hero or savior figure. Unless they're talking about Chaos Marines, since Chosen are elite Marines with more special weapons.

The chosen one, was a Tau player who played an awesome army list, they also said he was a skilled player.

The Chosen is a game club out of Brea, CA. Johnston Kim was the Tau player over at the Las Vegas Ironman and won best Tau player at the tournament.

We run into the Imperial Vox Cast guys (out of San Diego, CA) at a lot of the tournaments around California and they're always really good guys to hang out with.
