I've recently started to move away from fantasy wargaming to historical and I've just started a Belgian Army for the First World War. These are a few pics from the tentative first few steps (apologies for the poor camera at the moment)

Also, after having a look through quite a few of the other p&m blogs on here........sorry my painting skills aren't up to the usual standard on here!!

The Belgian officers are based on Flames of War bases, which is slightly different than the Peter Pig rules advise, but I am looking to alter the Square Bashing rules slightly and make them more a 'Flames of War' type ruleset for the 'Great War'

The painting scheme also isn't 100% accurate to history, but I started painting the models before recieving a certain book about Belgium in World War I through the mail, as I couldn't wait any longer, so I might end up re-doing the officers anyway if I find the colour scheme is way off

Eventually I hope to have an army for each Nation in the First World War- The invasion of Belgium came first, so naturally I decided to do the Belgian Army first!

Not a huge update, but i've been rather busy with work lately.

I'm still waiting for my painting guide for WW1 Belgians, so I'm holding fire on painting the infantry for the time being, although I do plan on painting up the artillery gun either today or tomorrow after work.

For such small figures I think you have done a very goo job of painting them. The models would look better if you took off the original stand that the come attached to, and just glue them straight onto the bigger bases. Very nice work so far, looking forward to more!
