Now for a list that is very heavy on KB, isn't it worth the points to have extra armor on all your tanks just becasue its huge if your stuck for a whole turn doing nothing...
I run about 8 tanks? all rhinos or maybe 2 raiders.....? please post

There's exactly a 1/6 chance on any glancing or penetrating hit for Extra Armor to do anything. That means there's a 5/6 chance for extra armor to do nothing.
For your entire army to be stuck doing nothing, your opponent would have to have glanced or penned every single rhino and gotten a stunned result. More likely than that actually happening is for half of your rhinos to be destroyed, exploded, or immobilized, one or two of your rhinos to be shaken or weapon destroyed, and your final one or two rhinos maybe being stunned... in which case the 120 pts you've spent on extra armor allows them to move. You're dead in the water regardless.
Extra armor on a land raider can be worthwhile because it allows a 500+ point transport + unit to ignore that 1/6 chance.
On mass rhinos, though, you're just better off buying more guys and rhinos than you are spending big on extra armor.

Never on a rhino,it's better to add a new gun to it instead.
Maybe for the land raider like sourclams said. Kinda worthwhile keeping one of those babies alive.

I never ever take a transport without EA. Every time I skip it, I regret it. YMMV.

It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

In CSM the only place I take extra armor is an Iron Clad Dreadnought. That is because it comes standard.
Other than that I personally would like more guys and weapons then trying to downgrade a 1/6 occurrence.

It varies from player to player with personnal preferances.
Yes, it can be expensive to outfit your entire force with XA but sometimes it can win games. However the extra bodies you can get with the saved points can do that just as easily.
It really depends on how much you value your mobility.
Using my Eldar as an example, for example i take stones (Eldar XA) on the DA serpents, because they really do have to keep moving, and its only 10 points. If i'm running MEQ i'll put XA on the vehicles that need it most, usually a land raider, the rhinos do not really survive long enough to merit the extra costs involved.

What? When did CSM get Iron Clad Dreadnoughts?

I don't run extra armor on my Berzerker Rhinos, but on my Dreadnoughts, and I'm actually considering dropping it, since there are less "Stunned" results on the damage chart then in 4th.

Only on your transport raiders--they are there first and foremost to deliver terminators, possessed marines, and berzerkers.
