With out harming the base? What is on the base? If you used PVA glue, not really anything you can do.

Did you matte finish your models? Cuz that makes a difference on what you use.

Simple Green works well, it just takes about 2-weeks to get it off. Just drop it in and wait, give a shake about every other day. Does not affect the plastic at all. But if the model was matte finished, it has a problem getting through that.

There is a brand of degreaser that works really well, but you need to wear gloves to use it. If you are interested, I can look it up.
