Spawn of Chaos

Okay, so I still had some money lying around after christmas, and I was thinking of how to spend it. 40k came to mind immediately, so I went onto the gw site and started browsing for some new chaos units, when I got the great idea to look for some on gumtree. (For those of you who are unfamiliar with gumtree, it's basicllay like an Australian ebay type of thing, without the bidding and stuff.

So I found this ad someone had put up, it read:
The set consists of Chaos Space Marines and Normal Space Marines. It includes heaps of spare parts if you want to modify them.
The set has about 60 figures ande also includes a rule book and a War Hammer case with three layers of foam to hold your figures in.

Chaos Space Marines: 33 (pewter and plastic)

Space Marines: 27 (Pewter and plastic)

You can modify Chaos into Space Marines

Some of the figures are: Rhino Tank, Chaos Demon, Terminators, Bikers, Dreadnaught, Jump pack squad, Chaplins.

Bonus items included are Black spray paint and mini rule book.

So I thought to myself, why not just buy that? I knew that figures weren't going to be in the best condition, but I enjoy a bit of a challenge making old, run down models look a bit better, So I went down and bought the set. The figures were all fairly averagely painted to say the least, some kid about 10 sold them to me.. But none the less, i had scored bigtime. Here is the actualt list of the different models:

11 CSMs, 5 Assault marines, 17 SMs 1 AOBR drednaught, 2 Chaos Bikers, 1 metal Daemon Prince, 5 Possessed Marines, 7 Khorne berserkers and 5 SM terminators, plus a really badly built rhino, that I will have to fix, the citadel figure case and a fair bit of stuff on sprues.

Here's a couple photos, For those of you who haven't seen my Chaos paint scheme before, (Which is everyone everywhere) It shows a few of my previous models aswell. The daemon prince is the only model I have finished working on so far, It's just a shame I'm not a bit of a better painter, and I can't take a decent photo.

Yeah, It actually had a black wash, I'm not not operating under very good sorts of lighting, he's practically in the middle of the sun. Looks a bit better IRL. :/

Managed to get it for $100, seeming as some models weren't legal, or have decent equipment, and the bad paint job.
