Dethos Necrons

Hi there, on this thread i'll be posting my army and it's progress

for now I already have a well finished army. like 80% is complettaly finished
But still a bit of action is needed here and there.

Here's a list of what is completally finished:

- 2 wraiths
- 2 tomb spyders
- 2 monoliths
- 1 necron lord with Res orb and Staff
- 1 necron destroyer lord with conversion 'staff of light' and Res orb
- 10 necron warriors
- 10 scarab swarms
- 5 destroyers
- 1 Heavy destroyer
- 1 Nightbringer
- 1 Deceiver
- 1 pariah

Now Other miniatures are 'painted' but i'm changing or making them beter :

- 30 necron warriors
- 10 immortals
- 9 pariahs

Only one doesn't even have his basecoat which is my second Heavy Destroyer

Pictures will come very soon, My gallery already shows a bit how my army looks

Nice paintjob so far, but I can't help feeling that the bases are a little plain. Perhaps a black wash would give them a little more contrast?
Also, I know Necrons are a devil to convert, but any ideas up the spout?

I am one of the necron players who actually is happy with what they have and isn' that willing to convert them. like them the way they are haha but tommorow some decsent pictures come in

So here's maybe my most favourite necron model, My destroyer lord!

I'm proud of him, maybe not completally on the paintjob but rather more about what he did already
(killed many many things...)

So I hope you like the first look of it and more pictures will come, next up -> Tomb spyders! since they have fought an excellent battle not so long ago

what's so 'converted' about his weapon is that it is a micture of the warscythe and staff of light

Here are the tomb spyders they need a bit repainting here and there as pictures show me faults and rushy mistakes >< but still they can be shown

these guys killed a lot of powerarmoured brothers.. and when i say a lot I do mean a lot but yeah they had their share I had mine
the lord killed to many things to be good for a human (that's why he's a living piece of necron metal..)

Pariahs are under way, but as I am repainting my Immortals (which look way cool IMO) those are next up, going to post new pictures this evening

and so here are the C'tan sketches

I also wrote some test rules for this guy being the following:

Rutger ('The Enhancer') 400p

WS 8, BS 5, S 9, T 9, W 6, I 8, A 4, Ld 10, Sv 2+ (and an 3+ invurnable)

Rules:

- C'tan (all the rules which c'tan baseicly have) He also is immune to the instant Death rule.
- Enhance The Harvesters:
All Necrons are empowered by this c'tan his presence. They feel their star-god's power and get empowered to even more unnatural levels. All Necron units can now make their WBB on a 3+ instead of a 4+. This c'tan has the Res orb effect, only his range reaches for 24". All Necron weaponry, the tomb spyder's strength, and the monolith it's weapons, receive +1 to their Str statistic. (example: Necron flayer; range: 12" Str4 AP 5 Rapid Fire => becomes range 12" Str 5 AP 5 rapid fire.)
- Swift:
The c'tan moves like infantry but can always run a full 6"(so he doesn't need to throw a dice), ha may also assault after this run.
- Passive resolution:
The C'tan can pass or fail any test it is needed to take. Also tests that are evoked trough weaponry (guns or close combat weapons) he completally ignores. He also never suffers wounds because of 'no retreat' rule.

Abilties:

-Harvest:
The c'tan launches lightining which purges souls for his own hunger. It counts as shooting a weapon with the following profile : Range : 24", Str 6, Ap 2 Assault 4, twin linked.
-Tactical tempest:
In the assault phase, before any hits are made, The c'tan can use his might over the material universe and push away all enemies. All enemy models are slinged out of combat 2D6" away from the c'tan. No atacks will be done to the c'tan that turn. The next enemy turn, the models can only move 1d6 in their movement phase as they are highly confused by the tempest.

Well first off love the necrons, the lord is probs the best. On to the c'tan, i would say bring him down to S 8 T 8 just cause thats what the others are its not that bad but i think with that (with fairly high ponits cost) he could be quite good but also balanced.

Thx for the comment . And maybe i'll just drop his T to 8 as even the deceiver has Str 9.
