First off thanks for taking the time too read this post and any helpfully advice is very much appreciated. I have been debating a few models/units for my next purchase and can't decide which too get first .... Here is a quick list of what I have so far....

Warcasters
pIrusk
pStrakhov
Warjacks
Beast 09
Behemoth
Kodiak
Torch
Units
Assault Kommandos Min(w/ 2WA)
Mechanics Min
WG Mortar team
Widowmakers
Solo
Manhunter
Yuri
War dog
Widowmaker marksman

Merc Solos
pEiryss
gormin di wolfe
Kell bailoch
Rienholdt

As you can see I'm lacking melee front line troops and can't decide on either Man o war(ST or DC), IFP or great bears. Gunna get doom reavers but not atm cause I think I have enough flankers already. Also if anyone has vassal and would like to play a few games send me a PM. Any tips combos/synergies or list ideas would be awesome thanks!

If you've got flankers, then a full unit of MoW Shocktroopers may be a good purchase (from what I know of Khador). They'll be pretty damned hard to touch while in shield wall, and Strakhov's feat can get surprise opponents with a sudden rush forward.

Iron Fang Pikemen would also be a great choice, especially if you're fielding pIrusk.

IFP with the UA are gold regardless of caster. 18" move + shieldwall on turn 1 or 2 means you will control the area they are in. Great bears would be another really good choice.

The MoW I would hold off on. They are really slow and kinda pricey (both $$ and points). Again, they are a position holder but the IFP just do it better. The only MoW I would run under 50 points is the Drakhun since he's a dragoon.

I would also say to reconsider the Doomies. They are more than a fast flanking unit since they are weapon master, AD and cannot be targeted by spells. Abomination is a really nice ability as well. It doesn't always matter but when they have to make the check it's nice to have.

If you can do it, try proxying those units before you make a purchase. Everybody recommends Iron Fangs as one of the first Khador infantry units to get, but I found that I hated them and never had any luck with them. I got Winterguard instead, and have always been pretty happy with those. Even now I rarely use IFP when I can use Winterguard instead. The Great Bears are a pretty good investment if you can get them slightly cheaper somewhere. Have you considered Winterguard Rifle Corps?

You could try testing units on Vassal. It has some bugs, but I find it to be a great resource for army list testing. It gives you a great idea of what works and what doesnt.

71 pts khador - 6 war casters
41 pts merc highborn - 3 warcasters

Thanks for all the awesome suggestions guys! Definitely gunna have to try out IFP and doomies as well. When I get time tonight all make a few lists and post them.

@Mr. Grey
If things don't work out with IFP all definitely look into WG prolly stick with WG tho I like the look and rules for the rifle corps but wish they had a UA/WA.

@KingKodo
definitely gunna test these units/lists on vassal before I purchase any models(made that mistake before with 40k won't do it again), If you wanna play a game on vassal just PM me.

Or anyone else has vassal looking for a game send me a pm. All the snow we keep getting making it hard to get to my LFGS....
