Hi Everybody i am new do Fantasy, can you give me an 1000pt list to start off with please. That will be greatly appreciated. BTW I love the look of crossbowmen and hydras.

for 1000 points i would recommend a lvl 2 sorceres, a dreadlord (the hero) magic items i leave them to you, for bsb, 3x 10 crossbows, 15-20 black guard and a hydra.
a very standard list and effective imo.
perhaps you might wanna swap some crossbows for some spearmen, in order to boost your cc phase.

Welcome to WHFB! And welcome to Dakka as well as I'm assuming by your post count you're pretty new.

You'll tend to get a better response when you post up a list of your own and then ask for critique or modification to it.

Aside from Crossbows and Hydras, is there anything else you like? We have quite a bit in our book and pretty much everything is viable to a certain degree.

Yeah, there are really no bad choices in the DE book. Anything can work, and work well, but it does depend rather heavily on your play style.

Like Kirbinator said try to write a list first that fits what you want. We can polish out the details.

However at 1000 points your going to want a BSB, and at least 2 blocks of infantry that can stand up in combat. The rest just depends on what you want to do.
