What is the best eldar heavy support for a semi-mech army? I have access to a night spinner, falcon, wraithlord and dark reapers.
Help please. I'm confused on which to take.

With that list, i would drop the WArp Spiders, the night spinner, give the Falcon a Bright lance, add another 2 Falcons..
3 Falcons with 5 DA in each, with Holo-fields and spirit stones will be very effective....
There are probably other things that could make that list more effective, but you might not want to change things?

Falcons are actually quite good--I use them regularly even though a group of naysayers might come around this thread and claim they're not.
I like the version you have here (with scatterlaser & shuriken cannon) or with just an EML. One of the big advantages of falcons in addition to how hard they are to kill is that the pulse laser gives you two str8 shots for long-range antitank (3 with the missile launcher). Sometimes you don't want to send a unit of fire dragons up there right away, but you still need to hurt an AR12+ target.
Wraithlords aren't as good as they used to be, especially if you encounter a Dark Eldar player who can just take them down with splinter rifles.
Dark reapers haven't been very good for awhile. They can't hurt most of the vehicles in the game, and they're too vulnerable to enemy shooting and too static with no ability to move & shoot.
All the kids today are all about fire prisms, but I personally find that single-shot weapons are too expensive and unpredictable for me. Same goes for brightlances in general--to expensive and they miss too often. I don't have any experience with night spinners (except being shot by them when I'm not playing Eldar) but I figure they might have the same single-shot issue.

Flavius Infernus as mention there are nay sayers and I am one I prefer fire prisms down to their dual fire modes, manoeuvrability and range ... but you don't have one so well move on. Bright lance ... any one tells you to take this then something is wrong. If you are hunting AV13-14 you should be using fire-dragons in a wave-serpent, no if or buts about it. When taking a falcon the best set ups all have one thing in common the holofield; a fortuned falcon moving flatout with a holofield is hardest vehicle to kill. Weapons Cheap scatter laser ... hunt light tanks or heavy infantry at range. dual S.cannons ...5pts more then the above and requires you to be closer but does get you 2 extra str6 shots. Expensive Missile launcher ... this is a transport hunter. 3 str8 weapons or 2 and a blast when they get too close. Never take star cannons or bright lance they are uncompatable with 5th ed. This is going to sound odd but i would be tempted to drop your jetseer for eldrad. Eldrad could sit behind in a transport using his (3) powers while the jetlocks get stuck in.

Like most eldar units dark reapers have a specific kind of target that they are best aganist. You don't waste your time shooting them at tanks cause you would normally have alot of other weapons to do so with, like falcons. And since falcons with holo-fields and spirit stones are so hard to kill you shouldn't be too worried about having them destroyed and having to focus on tanks with your dark reapers. Dark reapers should be used for anti MEQ since they have a good str and ap3. Plus, they don't really NEED to move and shoot cause they have a 48" range.
Another thing that I have liked to do with dark reapers, is give the exarch fast shot and a tempest launcher, giving him 3 small blasts to use aganist either MEQ because of the ap3, or aganist horde army cause of the mass amount of wounds you can deal with three blast shots.
Plus, the tempest launcher ignores cover, because their is no longer any Guess Range, GR weapons now just ignore cover.

... no it doesn't ... LOS from a barrage weapon is worked out from the centre hole ... but units in terrain or give a cover save through wargear still get there cover save. He can use crack shot (but not when using fast shot) to ignore cover and to reroll wounds.

The Falcon is underrated for a though as hell objective taker. Dont expect it to do much damage but it will most likely take a lot of punishment without going down.
The BL is not a waste on a Falcon, I prefer it to the EML but it is usually the first place to cut 10pts if needed. While Tri is correct in the you shouldnt use the falcon to hunt AV14 the main thing a BL brings is AP2 which can sometimes be very nice.

So everyone thank you for all of your input, it's very much appreciated
I was wondering would running an Avatar of Khaine and two wraithlords with eml, 2x flamers and shuriken cannons. Would this be viable build?

I have a couple of wraithlords, but I haven't used them in awhile. With no invulnerable save and no easy way to get cover, there are just too many things that can put enough wounds on them to take them out pretty easily. Also they're slow, and comparatively expensive for that one EML shot.
I have a nice avatar model that I wish I could use, but again he's too slow to keep up with my mechanized armies and doesn't really bring anything useful to the fight (he's a HtH unit that has trouble reaching close combat, and has relatively low initiative and few attacks).
Also right now all units that depend on toughness for part of their defense are especially vulnerable to poisoned weapons that are increasingly prevalent with Dark Eldar and tyranid armies, and will lose in assault against increasingly common TH/SS terminators.

Well, I understand your confusion, since the best HS unit, WW squadron, is not on your list.
This unit even works in a mech army.

Thanks again for the help everyone. Wouldn't two wraithlords get cover saves if they were standing behind the avatar?
