As title. I have been looking over Bretonnians a long time, and I want to take the plunge into WHFB with the bretonians. Now, I am stumped as what color scheme to go with. Any sugestions? I want a warm feel for them, so lots of warm colors like red, yellow and orange in their clothing. Any advice will be welcome. (If you have some pictures of painted Brets, feel free to post them here, any help is welcome.
Or do I understand Fluff has a lot to do with their paint scheme?

I know they have fluff reasons in the army book for certain colors in the army book, although it focuses more on the symbolism than the colors.
Also it explains the colors vs. metals concept, which I think is important to stay with. White (silver) and yellow (gold) should never touch.
Really going with the colors you like and a little bit of quartering should give you an attractive force. The current models really help with the painting because of the sheilds on the caprisons.
For myself I have altered the color rules myself, equating the color "green" with the lady of the lake (so only grail knights may use it) and the color "purple" with any unit associated with the king.
Sorry I don't have any pictures, my talents are not "jaw-dropping" enough.
Good luck

Just a suggestion; Brettonians are basically mediaeval knights so it might be worth looking into heraldry for some ideas.
Also there is a nice gallery here...

Thanks for the help. The gallary has some nice miniatures. I have a book full of information of european knights. There are a few pages full of pictures of heraldry, I have just looked in to that. I will have no problems painting the knights, they are all individual after all. But I want the Men at arms to have a uniform. I intend to include three blocks of Men At Arms in a 3000 pts force. It will look cool if they had an uniformed look. (Uniformed for what counted in the medievals.)

Give the men-at-arms a faded version of your general's heraldry. That's what I did.

Do the knights in individual colours/heraldry and the peasants the same colours/heraldry as the general. That is how GW did it and it looks pretty good. If you are doing a crusader style force you might consider having all the knights in the same colours.
