How Good would a Dreadnought based BA army be? are drop pods a must?stormravens?is two tw autocannons or lascannons with missile launcher better

Seriously I've been toying with a "Descent of Dreadnoughts" army which is Dreadnoughts in Pods with Assault Marines deep striking in. I've tried it once and I was impressed.

The introduction of the stormraven has made me think about BA dreads some more also ...

I like the idea of a death company stormraven with Death Company unit and dread ready for the assault on dropping. Add Astorath so you can repeat the process and stick a priest in the other death company squad. That's over 1,000 points but can earn it's money back.

I haven't really got the hang of furioso librarian's yet, but there is a certain lure there ...

I've been working on 1 as well & i reckon there very viable i'm just worries about getting the right units down at the right time & not having the dreads holding there own for a whole turn

Why would you put a priest in with the second DC squad? So they can get FC and FnP? They have those already. Add Lemartes instead, a much better choice.

You ain't gonna want to field expensive psycho units that you have little control of that can't hold objectives when your investing so many points in walkers you should look at sniper scouts to hold home objectives & to slow down the opponents troop movements & DoA some assault marines on the unfriendly 1's after the dreads have done there DP assault tank killing this is along the lines of what i want but i think with playing you may find a better troop turn out

if you go with the first choice of troops there's 75pts to play with or the second is bang on 1,500pts or at least i hope it is bring down the MM dreads on turn 1 with the frag cannon furioso hit the 2 biggest tank threats & the scariest troop unit on turn 2 the rest of your army will smash into there disarrayed line & rip it 2 pieces just remembered if you go with the razorbacks you'll get the points from the libby's JP so can kit out the scouts or somethin
