Hello I am just rethinking if warriors really are that bad. When I use warriors I only invest around a 100 points in them. In the trevigon I invest around 185. Of course the trevigon will bring more to the table.
For 185 you get roughly 5 warriors, 1 wound less then on the trevigon, so they will die after 5 krak missiles, not 6, but they are mutch easier to give cover to.
Anythoughts?

I like Warriors. I tend to take them with just Scytals and Deathspitters at 35pts a piece, groups of five or six, and they do really well. Sure, they suffer Instant Death to anything Str8 and up, but unless you're fighting Guard where they get to throw around Str8 pie plates all day, most of the enemy high str shots are directed at the big bugs, and not the Warriors, so it doesn't happen a lot.

The difference is primarily that a Tervigon can spawn more troops choices, a handy skill to have in a horde based army.

And hand out feel no pain, and give the most points efficient toxin sacks/adrenal glands in the entire codex, and allow his little buddies to counterattack, and have an extra wound at T6 camping on objectives, and get monstrous creature rear armor (I love outflanking 'one troops choice' from a Hive Tyrant hehe).

Yeah I agree that the trevigon is good but once you pour 6 krak misiles in it all of his spaws are dead (unless you of course go for feel no pain on the trevigon.)
Aduro, do you not give them the blast weapon or a prime?
Aslso, who else goes against the nett nid build and go for more warriors?

Sometimes I use a Prime yes, but I've never used one of the blast weapons in a unit yet. Half the time they're in a pod and you can't use a Prime there, and don't need the extra range of the "heavy" guns.

If you are going to use warriors, choose either cc or ranged. Don't throw to many points away buying cc options, then throw in a venom cannon "just becuase they might use it".
If they are close combat, they should generally be running to get there, not standing around shooting and hope the enemy comes to them.
I general use either a unit of 5 with the scy-talons and deathspitters or a unit of 3 with bonesword and lashwhips. Either time, their advancing behind a cover of gaunts so the cover save helps.
