ORKz vs. Imperial Guard / Space Marines
The Occupation of Chigon 17
972.M41 – Imperial Agri-world Chigon 17 is overrun by orks under Ghazkull Thraka using Guerilla tactics
981.M41 – Space Marines of the Salamander Chapter come to the Chigon system in response to a emergency beacon requesting help.
As Ghazkull Thraka was moving his forces to Armageddon for his Second War (their third) he attacked the planet of Chigon 17. After “re-supplying” his Waaagh! he moved on unknowingly leaving behind small portion of his near full-scale Waaagh!. After these Orks realized that they have been left behind there was much infighting over who was in charge. A Goff Ork Nob named Gitsplita and his Mek Boy Cogswell joined forces and fought there way to status of the Warboss and Big Mek. This was accomplished thru brute force and the story that Ghazkull left them in charge. During this time the Orks have been extremely busy building up their numbers, wargear, and small fleet of ships. Cogswell has been frantically working on a way to get off the planet so he doesn’t miss Ghazkull’s Waaagh!
Cogswell is almost done building a “’Uge Tellyporta” device in hopes of getting the Ork ships into the void.
The Salamander forces have been tasked to reclaim Chigon 17 from the Orks and prevent them from getting off the planet. The Space Marine Battle Barge translates into the system unopposed and stealthily moves to Chigon 17 using its many moons to mask their approach. Their Vox-Hails are received by the Imperial Guard forces. The Imperial Guard Commanders request immediate support as the Orks are moving on the city of Theta Five. Theta Five is an urban sprawl. Most notably there is an Imperial agricultural research facility and bunch of Manufactums that produce farming vehicles for Chigon 17. A plan is formulated on using surprise in the opening move to strike fast and hard catching the Orks off guard.
The Imperial Guard and Space Marine forces are set up to defend Theta Five in hopes to repel the Orks. The Orks want to plunder Theta Five to acquire more “whatnots” needed to finish Cogswell’s device.

Special Rules
Surprise Flank Attack - When the first space marine unit becomes available from reserves roll d6 to determine which table edge all other space marine units come in from. (1-2 left, 3-4 right, 5-6 pick)
Prepared Defense - The Imperial Guard is fighting in a defended position. They may place any barricades (i.e. aegis defense walls) in their deployment zone.
More ‘Umies!!! - The next Ork turn after the Space Marine has made their first successful reserve roll the Orks receive an extra Waaagh! This extra move does not use up existing Waaagh! This is due to the Orks excitement on seeing new opponents.
Victory Conditions
Kill points
Any Ork unit that is inside or partially inside the Imperial Guard deployment zone counts as another kill point for the Orks.
Campaign Victory Conditions
If the Imperials win the Orks are driven back and they learn the location of the “tellaporta” which becomes a high priority target.
If the Orks win they move into Theta Five searching for specific “whatknots” to complete Cogswell’s “tellaporta”
