Im about to start a long league and i cant change races part way through.

So im wondering what race you guys think can be played the most without becoming boring.

I'm both orderly and rational. I value control, information, and order. I love structure and hierarchy, and will actively use whatever power or knowledge I have to maintain it. At best, I am lawful and insightful; at worst, I am bureaucratic and tyrannical.

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

just take the army you like most.

Space Marines probably have the most varity within the codex, but if you don't like space marines then why bother?

if you really like the army you have then it shouldn't be boring.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

Orks.

There are so many ways to go with that army.

Static shooty w/ shootaboyz, lootas, weapon teams
Walker-heavy w/ up to 11 walkers in a list
Green-tide, raw horde assault
Deathstar-style, w/ nob bikers
Wazdakka shooty bikers
trukk rush mech
battlewagon mech

I don't think any other codex has the ability to run so many different units as troops either:

grots
boyz (shoota/slugga and 'ard)
nobs (bikers or not)
mega-nobs
warbikers
dreads

Ultramarines.

Why?

Players feel entitled to swap out their Ultra models for any of the other 5 Marine armies.

So in essence... Codex: Space Marines/Blood Angels/Dark Angels/Black Templars/Space Wolves/Chaos Space Marine is the most versatile codex around.

I am not being snarky either. Space Marine models gives you the most replayablility around.

I think the Orks orthe IG have a lot of options. I play Guard and seem to have a different kind of list for every game. I can go blob, tank heavy, artillary heavy, flank heavy, etc. Plus they have the most typed of vehicles to play with ^^.

IG has the most different possible play styles, but ork and CSM are also pretty good for that.

Basically, look towards newer codecies and codecies that have the most number of options.
