Here's a color scheme template for people to use to plan out their color scheme for the new Stormraven coming out this week. I traced over the GW website image in Illustrator and turned it into a jpeg so people could use it in any photo/paint program to fill in colors. You should be able to use it with PHotoshop or Microsoft Paint or whatever you like. Let me know what you think and if you use it, please post your color schemes here.

Noob question, How do you work it, I try to use the fill thing and it only fills little patches

(MS paint, if that makes a difference)

cool idea though

Hmmm I usually use Photoshop for this type of stuff.... maybe the tool your filling in is a bit too sensitive. When jpegs are made they are compressed and sometimes it'll make subtle little "blocks" of color where it is just a flat white. Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of that tool?

I am using CS4 right now and it works perfect, though I think the fill bucket of my image editing software can handle this. As for the template, this is very cool. I was sitting here thinking how I was going to do my stormraven and here you go and make a perfect template to test some colours. Very cool!

Love this and I would prolly like the storm raven patterns you did as well but I dont think that the colors are translating as well as they did on the marine. Again though, the marine looks fantastic.

800 brethren and 2,000 other personnel were expected to reach Crows World within no more than 12 hours. They never arrived.

Now I didn't do the marine. That was off of GW's website. I plan on using those colours though in place of the ones I used on the mockup. Right now I am painting some Space Hulk terminators in those colours.

Pics?

It will probably look good.

One thing I am trying to do with my Fire Hawks is flip the pattern on vehicles/dreads. This approach might work for you as well.

If you do, please post some pics. Also I haven't got a chance to take some photos of the terminators, but here are a few of my Sanguinary Guard. The red on the wings is sort of metallic in person. I aslo washed it in a red ink, so it looks like it is wet with blood. I might go for a red gore instead for the regular troops.
